Dear Colleague,
The last decade has seen an impressive dissolution of the thin line dividing
neurologic and psychiatric disorders. Today, the fields of neuropsychiatry and
behavioral neurology are two of the fastest growing and are most vigorously
researched specialties in the medical arena. The past year has seen an
incredible increase in the elucidation of both the biological and functional
underpinnings of numerous neuropsychiatric conditions, including depression,
anxiety disorders, aging-associated diseases, and degenerative diseases. With
increased access to imaging and analytic techniques, novel on- and off-label
treatment options are emerging on a near-monthly basis.
GTC is proud to host our 2nd Neuropsychiatric Research and Development to
be held September 13-14, 2012 in San Francisco, CA. The conference
brings together leading scientists and experts in the field to discuss the
latest breakthroughs, new drug targets, new models, neuroimaging, novel
technologies and several other novel developments and therapeutics to combat
neuropsychiatric disorders.

What Past Delegates said:
"The conference provided an excellent opportunity to bridge the culture gap
between industry and academia and to bring into sharper focus the imperatives of
innovative "outside the box" thinking along with marketability. The strong
emphasis on collegial sharing of ideas was very helpful in establishing new
research and business contacts."
- Owen Wolkowitz, UCSF
"The CNS Diseases Work Summit provided an excellent comprehensive overview on
current progress in the areas of psychiatry and neurology, great venue and
excellent organization helped to make this an efficient, informative and
enjoyable meeting. Great opportunities for cross company networking."
- Johan Luthman, VP Neuroscience & Ophthalmology R&D, Merck
"I thought this conference was one of the best CNS conferences of the year, with
great attendance and a wealth of presentations on many topics."
- Kees Been, CEO, EnVivo Pharmaceuticals
“With high -quality presentations going on simultaneously on three separate
tracks, one of the biggest challenges for me was choosing which of them to
attend, when quite often, all three looked very worthwhile. That’s a good
problem to have. Both in terms of content and contacts, this was a very useful
conference.”
