Dear Colleague,
GTC is proud to present the 5th Immunotherapeutics & Immunomonitoring
Conference to be held on January 31 - February 1, 2013 in San
Diego, CA.
The immune system plays a central role not only in fighting infections, but
also in many other diseases and medical conditions including cancer. The study
of the immune system has led to significant findings in many fields of medicine
and biology and has resulted in the discovery of novel and unique substances and
reagents that are now widely used for diagnosis, evaluation and therapy of
different malignant diseases. The development of prophylactic and therapeutic
vaccines, as well as innovative combinatorial immunotherapeutic approaches has
substantially decreased mortality and increased life expectancy, improved life
expectancy and the well being of the millions of patients.
Network with clinical immunologists, pathologists, and pharmacologists, as well
as practicing clinicians and R&D scientists, to discuss the newest development
in the field. Leading experts from the scientific and clinical arenas and
industry will present about novel findings and developments in the constantly
changing area of immunological assays and procedures. They will also discuss
recent advances in immunotherapy, as they relate to various immunotherapy
modalities, specific cancers, cell subsets, animal models, and tumor
microenvironment. Potential clinical feasibility and commercial potential of the
newest data obtained from leading biomedical research laboratories will also be
discussed.
Network with colleagues to discuss:
- An update on state-of-the-art immunomonitoring
- Novel strategies to identify and validate biomarkers predictive for
clinical efficacy
- Novel strategies to identify and clinically develop synergistic
combination therapies
- Outlook on novel druggable targets for immunotherapy
Sessions for 2013 Agenda:
- Disease & Tumor Microenvironment
- Novel Targets in Immune Therapeutics
- Novel Therapeutic Approaches: Antibodies, Vaccines, Cellular Therapy
- Combinatorial Immunotherapies
- Immunomonitoring
This conference is also part of the
2nd
Novel Immunotherapeutics Summit, which consists of three other concurrent
conferences. In addition, an optional workshop will be held on January
30, 2013.

to exchange ideas and opinions with industry and academia leaders. Networking
really happens at this conference with relevant and exciting topics. I left the
GTC conference with fresh ideas and with new connections for future
partnerships. "
- Mario Pulido, PhD Student, USC
"The topics covered in the 4th Immunotherapeutics and Immunomonitoring
Conference were targeted and provided an excellent balance between clinical and
basic research. Moreover, the intimate setting was an ideal environment to
foster collaboration. "
- Fatema Legrand, Associate Director, Clinical Immunology, BN
Immunotherapeutics
"The GTC Immunotherapeutics Summit was a great opportunity to meet industry and
academic leaders. The networking opportunities were ideal for meaningful
exchanges and setting up potential collaborations. "
