as part of the Omics Evolution Summit and will be focusing on the issues
of Next Generation Sequencing technology in the clinical space. This
interactive workshop is dedicated to discussing emerging technologies, current and future trends of
clinical sequencing, and the implementation of NGS in a CLIA environment.
Attendees will have a chance to discuss with the presenters the issues of
clinical sequencing as well as the available sequencing
technologies and analytic tools for clinical research and data. Below are
the topics that will be covered:
May 29th: Clinical Sequencing Workshop
Emerging Next-Generation Sequencing Technologies and its Clinical
Applications - Thomas Scholl, Lab Corp
The Implementation of Next-Generation Sequencing in a CLIA
Laboratory - Issues and Challenges - Matthew Ferber, Mayo Clinic
Translation of Next-Gen Sequencing from Research Applications to a
Standardized Lab Developed Test in a CLIA Environment -- Andrew Grupe,
