Pre-conference Workshop: How to Accelerate the Commercialization of Biofuels

Bringing Low-Cost, Renewable Fuels and High-Quality Chemicals to the World Market

Bill Haywood, President & CEO, LS9 Inc.

Pushing the frontiers of synthetic biology, LS9 has developed an elegant 1-step fermentation process that employs patent-pending DesignerMicrobes™ to efficiently convert renewable feedstocks into a portfolio of “drop-in compatible” fuels and high-value chemicals. Using its cutting edge technology, LS9 is able to genetically control the structure and function of its fuels and chemical to create a broad portfolio of renewable fuels and chemicals that are sustainable, low-carbon and cost competitive.

Answering the call of the Obama Administration, LS9 is pursuing opportunities to partner with governmental agencies and develop strategic partnerships to help meet the administration’s near-term goals of job creation, reduced dependence on foreign oil and climate protection.

Attendees will learn:

How LS9 is creating valuable partnerships – both public and private

What opportunities LS9 is pursuing to maximize governmental support focused on research, development and production

How LS9’s technology is producing a low-cost alternative to petroleum-based products that significantly reduce green house gas emission

The road LS9 is following to ensure the rapid scale-up and commercialization of LS9 technology
